Every flight generates telemetry that almost nobody reviews, and the trend that predicts a failure is usually visible for many flights before the failure occurs. The data to prevent the incident was on disk the whole time.
Flight data monitoring is standard for airlines and effectively absent below them, because the tooling assumes airline volumes, formats and budgets. Small-operator telemetry is high-rate, inconsistent between types, and lands as files nobody opens.
Downlink ingests automatically from Sortie, normalised across airframe types, and checks each flight against the design envelope from Planform, so a limit is defined by engineering rather than guessed. Component trends feed maintenance forecasts in Hangar.
Because Downlink judges flights against the airframe definition, an exceedance is measured against the aircraft's real limits, not a generic threshold.
